The Senior Variety Show has currently awarded Story County Freedom Flight $5,000 to help 25 Story County veterans participate in Washington DC trips scheduled for May 8 and August 28, 2021. The trips next year are in conjunction with Brushy Creek Honor Flights. These special trips make it possible for all veterans to visit the memorials in Washington DC which were built to honor them and their sacrifices.
Senior Variety Show has helped sponsor several Freedom Flight trips in the past and is proud to once again support our veterans in this meaningful way. Although it was not possible to hold the traditional Senior Variety Show this past August, we had set aside some ticket
proceeds from the previous show and thus were able to honor this previous commitment.

The senior show committee continues to meet by Zoom regularly to encourage seniors in the performing arts, posting weekly entries of talented local seniors on its Facebook page (senior variety show Story County), Web page (seniorvarietyshow.org) and YouTube selections. If you have an example of seniors staying active in the performing arts, please let us know at storycountysvs@gmail.com. Hopefully, 2021 will find the senior show back on the August stage.
