Green Hills: Marquee Sponsorship for the 2018 Senior Variety Show

Carol Deppe and Si Silence, residents of Green Hills, along with Marketing Coordinator, Mary Harvey (back center) present the Senior Variety Show 2018 with a Marquee Sponsorship check of $1,000. Deppe and Silence are two of several Green Hill performers who will be on stage with the 24th Annual Senior Variety Show, “Simply Stellar!” August 17 and 18 at Ames City Auditorium.


Northcrest Community: Marquee Sponsorship for the 2018 Senior Variety Show

Linda Doyle (left),CEO/administrator of Northcrest Community, presents a $1,000 marquee sponsorship check to the SVS Board Vice President, Pat Meek, in support of the 24th Annual Senior Variety Show, “Simply Stellar!”   The performance will be Friday, August 17 & Saturday, August 18 at Ames City Auditorium.  Northcrest Community has been a supporter of this county-wide senior show for many years, and also has several residents and staff participating.


Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) : Marquee Sponsorship for the 2018 Senior Variety Show

Jerilyn Logue (right), Program Manager for Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Iowa State University, presents the Senior Variety Show with a $1,000 Marquee Sponsorship check.  Receiving the donation is Julie Minot, SVS Board President,  OLLI has been a long-time supporter of our annual senior show.

 


Thanks to the Ames Convention and Visitors Bureau for the 2018 Community Grant for $1,500!


Thanks to the Greater Iowa Credit Union for the 2018 Community-Giving Grant for $250

Jackie Buzard, marketing assistant for the Greater Iowa Credit Union; and Cathy Krebs, the CEO Executive Assistant, present a $250 community-giving grant to the Senior Variety Show. Accepting the donation are Jan Tibbetts and Kitty Fisher, members of the Senior Variety Show Production Team and also long-time members of the Greater Iowa Credit Union. 


Ames Ford Lincoln: Marquee Sponsorship for the 2018 Senior Variety Show

Nick Johnson, manager of Ames Ford Lincoln, presents Senior Variety Show Treasurer Vicki Stutzman with a Marquee Sponsorship check for $1,300.  In addition to the senior show sponsorship, for many years Ames Ford Lincoln has loaned a car for the performers in the 4th of July parade and helps sponsor the cast party in August.

Kiwanis Club

Ronnie Lindeman (left), SVS representative, receives a $300 check  from Stephanie Clark of the Ames Town and Country Kiwanis Club in support of the 24th Annual Senior Variety Show, “Simply Stellar!”  The Kiwanis Club has supported the Senior Varity Show for over 20 years,  both financially and as ushers welcoming the crowd.   

Supporting Vital Programs

An important piece of this show is fundraising for vital senior programs in the community. When you donate or buy tickets, your dollars continue to help seniors. Some organizations who have benefited from SVS proceeds are:

  • Retired Senior and Volunteer Transportation Program of Central Iowa
